Finally broke it!
Now here’s something I never thought I’d ever be posting. Today I broke the 10Km barrier. Pushed it towards the end but managed to make it home in just over 10Km. A few aches and pains (I managed to get a blood blister on my toe and my shoes rubbed a little on the side of my right foot) but overall feeling pretty chuffed with that. Will have to try and carry it on but drop it to a sub 60 minute run if I can. Not sure I’ll continue to push the distance – an hour running is long enough for me and I prefer being on the bike for that sort of time – however, sometimes it’s just easier to pull on a pair of running shoes and head out!
First Run
So I managed my first run today. As per the Inov-8 guide and all the barefoot running guides, I started with a short run. Inov-8’s guide for beginners is a 2 x 5 minute run in the first week. (Inov-8’s guide can be found here
